Job Summary
Process Chemist involves applying chemical principles and techniques to develop and optimize chemical manufacturing processes at specific plant facilities. The process chemist plays a crucial role in developing, optimizing, and scaling up chemical manufacturing processes. They combine their knowledge of chemistry, engineering principles, and safety regulations to ensure efficient and safe production of chemicals at Amazon production facilities assigned.
Responsibilities
• Process Development: Process chemists are involved in designing, developing, and optimizing chemical manufacturing processes.
• Scale-Up: Once a process has been developed in the laboratory, process chemists are responsible for scaling up the process to commercial production levels.
• Process Optimization: Process chemists continuously analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving.
• Collaboration and Documentation.
• Ensuring products are designed with adherence to legal and safety standards.
• Monitoring and evaluating internal production processes.
• Evaluating final output of products to determine their quality.
• Engaging with customers and gathering product feedback.
Requirements
• Bachelor or College degree in Chemical Science or Chemistry or Materials Science.
• Basic knowledge of Production process and preferably work in a QC Lab or of chemical production environment before.
• >3 year of experience at a production plant
• Exposure in Process Engineering or Chemical Industry advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Data analysis and statistical aptitude.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Highly conscientious and diligent.
